Check out these new RAT maps generated for us by Alisa Gardiner. Click on either map to enlarge it. Right-click either link to download it to your desk top as a jpeg file. These do not include new trail constructed since about July 8th, but are nearly complete. On July 9th a crew of volunteers joined with Americorps to reroute the lower terminus of the southwestern most trail in the RAT system off private property and onto BLM land.

Enjoy these new maps while you can, as they will continue changing for awhile. Although Americorps finished their hitch today, Scott Vanderplaats will bring the crew from Delta Correctional Facility back for a two-week hitch at the end of this month to finish the climb up from County Road 10. Ridgway State Park has applied through the State Park system for a new construction grant. If awarded, the Park will hire additional crews to continue building trails under Scott Vanderplaats later this summer or early September. Stay tuned for latest trail construction news as it becomes available.

RAT FEST is now set to go on September 20, 2014, in Ridgway Town Park. Please join the RAT Crew for live music on the Big Stage, great craft beers from local and regional microbreweries, plus an array of delicious, frozen treats created by RAT’s in-house barista, Glenda the Blenda!!
